How can your consulting service be so inexpensive?

We charge a low monthly fee (instead of hourly or project-based fees), so you can afford to work with us over a longer period of time while you test new business approaches. Our streamlined processes and efficient communication save you time and money.

Most consulting firms work intensively – disrupting your team and operations for a few weeks to gather information about your company, disappearing for a few weeks to do their work, and finally delivering a glossy report with their recommendations. Using this model, consultants will charge a minimum of $10,000 or even $25,000, and then you will need to pay even more if you want their support while you try to implement their recommendations.

At Zenagos, we save you money by skipping the report and working at your speed. You share information about your company at the pace that works best for you, without disrupting your team or operation. We tell you what we recommend right away (so you don’t need to wait for a report), and then we support you while try new ideas. You ask questions right when you have them, instead of waiting for a scheduled meeting. At Zenagos we respect the way you work, and we provide the fastest, most affordable path to improving your business.

How do we work together?

We begin with an information-sharing phase to understand your objectives and establish a shared vocabulary. Your team can share information at a comfortable pace, ensuring minimal disruption to your operations. Your priorities will drive the areas we work on together - we focus on the opportunities you want to target, set measurable metrics, and implement strategies for change. We have bi-monthly group meetings to discuss progress and provide guidance. And, of course, during any phase you can ping us any time from 10am-10pm ET Monday to Friday with any business question.

Why real-time?

We respect your work style and understand that time is of the essence. Whether you need to test an idea, refine a pitch, or strategize your marketing approach, you can reach out to us whenever inspiration strikes. We respond promptly via text, live video, or phone, catering to your preferred mode of communication. You don't have to schedule a meeting in advance unless you want to.

Why monthly membership?

We believe in being your long-term thought partner, guiding you through the ups and downs of your business. As you try new approaches, we offer fresh perspectives, help you overcome obstacles, and advise you on scaling your business within your risk tolerance and financial capabilities. We're here to remind you that patience is key and to give your ideas the time they need to succeed.

What’s the difference between working with Zenagos and having a coach?

Coaches typically schedule a weekly meeting and charge an hourly rate. At Zenagos, you ask your questions right when you have them (10am-10pm ET, Monday to Friday) and get your feedback in real time, either by text or live video. Also, instead of one coach, you get a blue chip coaching team. You get direct access to the four Zenagos Co-founders. We have vast executive networks and more than 120 years’ combined experience across a wide spectrum of functions and industries.

Who will be on my consulting team?

With Zenagos Membership, you work directly with all of us, the four Co-Founders. We don't pass you off to junior staff and we don't "assign" you an Expert. You'll benefit from our collective knowledge and hands-on guidance throughout your membership. We all have different areas of expertise, so you can benefit from working with each one of us at different times - depending on your need. To learn more about us, visit our About Us page.

How many months does a typical CEO Trek take?

The time frame depends on you. Some CEOs take a few months to complete our information-sharing phase. Others may have all the materials already in hand and can complete that phase in a few days. After the information-sharing phase, you will complete multiple cycles of idea testing, continuing until you have met your goals or you feel that you have internalized the process of continuous improvement such that you can continue working toward your goals independently.

Do you work only with new entrepreneurs?
The Zenagos Experts are happy to work with all entrepreneurs, regardless of their stage of development – start-up, growing, scaling, or exiting.

What kinds of problems do you help entrepreneurs address?

We often see entrepreneurs who express these kinds of frustrations:

  • I want to launch or relaunch my business, but I don’t know where to start.
  • I need funds to start or scale my business, but I don’t have the business vocabulary I need to confidently fill out loan applications, apply for grants, or pitch to investors.
  • My bank or PPP loan is starting to run out.
  • My revenue swings up and down from one month to the next.
  • I would like to scale my business and move from contractors to more full-time employees, but I’m not sure how to do it.
  • I’ve tried to get help from “fill-in the-blank (mentor, spouse, family member)” but they don’t understand my situation or they aren’t available to give me all the time I need from them.

What happens after the Trek? Do I still have access to the Experts?

When you end your subscription, you will still have access to the Discord community, remaining in touch with your cohorts and receiving updates and notices of upcoming events. You may also pose a question to the Experts at any time for consideration in the Ask Zenagos blog. However, you will no longer have direct, real-time access to the Experts via Direct Messages (DM).

Are the Zenagos Experts willing to share their extensive network with Trekkers?

The Zenagos Experts make it a point to share their network whenever it makes sense with the Trekkers. We do not hesitate to connect a Trekker to someone in our network.

The Zenagos Experts have an extensive network of business contacts built over decades of corporate experience. We have networks from our former colleagues and board members, former and current clients, fellow college and business school graduates, and the many professional organizations to which we belong.
